Investigational Drug Services Team

The Investigational Drug Services (IDS) Pharmacy works with investigational/study medications.

They:

• Make sure each medication used is safe and ethical
• Serve patients who are in clinical trials at Northwestern University and Northwestern Memorial Hospital
• Make sure that research protocols follow all regulations, which includes federal, state, institutional and sponsor regulations
• Support all scientists who conduct research on medications
• Guide safe handling of biohazardous and gene therapy products
