This surgery is done to correct a labral tear in the shoulder, commonly associated with a dislocation of the joint. Labral tears are repaired arthroscopically by securing the labrum back to the glenoid (part of the shoulder blade) and tightening.

Rehabilitation

Physical therapy is necessary after surgery for several months until strength in the area is regained.
