If you have an adjustable gastric band, vertical sleeve gastrectomy, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass or any other previous weight loss surgeries but are experiencing some medical issues, lack of weight loss and/or weight regain, a laparoscopic conversion might be perfect for you. A laparoscopic conversion is the process of modifying your primary surgery to a secondary minimally invasive surgery to address the medical issues and/or lack of weight loss. A laparoscopic conversion will result in weight loss through different mechanisms based on conversion choice as well as re-engagement into the program and support from our multidisciplinary team.
