Advanced Practice Providers

Olivia Docter is a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner (WHNP-BC) and certified diabetes care and education specialist (CDCES) in the Division of Maternal–Fetal Medicine (MFM) at Northwestern Medicine. She joined the MFM Diabetes and Pregnancy Program in 2025 and has over eight years of clinical experience including women’s health and diabetes care. Olivia provides comprehensive care to patients with gestational, Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes throughout pregnancy and postpartum. She is dedicated to helping patients feel supported, informed and empowered in managing their health. Olivia values collaboration within multidisciplinary teams, and is passionate about improving outcomes for women and families affected by diabetes through compassionate, evidence-based care.

Ismene Potakis is a physician assistant (PA-C) in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) for Northwestern Medicine. She has been with the team since June 2021 and has been working in Obstetrics & Gynecology since 2013. Ismene is committed to her patients, wanting them to leave each visit feeling that they have been heard and that their needs are being addressed by the care team. Ismene is committed to working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams across the system towards achieving the ultimate goal of a healthy, thriving patient.
