5.0 star star star star starYou know, Dr. Larry is the first male gynecologist I've seen in 45 years. I didn't know how I'd feel, but his level of professionalism combined with the fact that I really felt both seen and heard made it a very positive experience.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Larry was one of the first medical professionals that I have seen in a long time that actually sat down and took the time to explain the procedure and my diagnosis. He explained it in a way that was easy for me to understand and also in a way that he made me feel that he wasn't rushing and that I could ask any questions.

5.0 star star star star starThis is going to be long. Dr. Larry has been my doctor for 27 years! When I first came to him as a young pregnant woman, I had a number of things working against me for fertility. Pretty severe endometriosis, a tipped uterus, ovarian cysts, and also I have an O negative blood type while my husband is AB positive. As a young woman, newly pregnant, and getting excited to start my family, I really did not know what I did not know. Understanding now at that time I had a lot working against me Dr Larry never made me feel that way. He made sure I had a shot of RhoGam to give me my best options of having more children, which was my goal. He successfully delivered my first baby and what a crazy experience it was. I was so lucky to have such a skilled physician. About a year later, I had an ovarian cyst that seemed pretty serious, and I was extremely upset about finding this out because my grandmother died of ovarian cancer, and as a young mother, my biggest fear was leaving my children behind at such a young age. Well, I was pretty upset on the phone and he told me to come on over to his office, he literally just made time for me to come in at the drop of a hat and talked me down and made me understand what the procedure was going to be and how unlikely it was that I would have cancer, but that if I did, we would handle it together. He did take care of my surgery and took care of the cyst and it was not cancer, but he did find a lot of endometriosis scarring and he cleaned all of that out during that surgery. Afterward, he told me what he found and he asked me if I wanted to have more children and I said I did and so he encouraged me to start right away. Sadly, I became pregnant and lost that baby and he was so empathetic during that time. He was so kind when I went to the office to find out the bad news. And luckily, even with everything working against me, I was able to get pregnant a second time and once again he delivered a very amazing healthy baby. He took exceptionally good care of me and all of his patients during what is such a sensitive time in a young family's lives. Endometriosis was causing a lot of pain and he put me on Depo-Provera explaining first to me that it would not be a good option if I wanted to have future children. The fact that he took the time to explain to me that it could affect fertility is something that not a lot of doctors take the time to do. He also didn't suggest things like having a hysterectomy. His treatment plan was always very conservative and based on The patient at hand. And I am grateful that he did not recommend to have a hysterectomy. And later years, after both of my children were born I had another cyst that was so bad I ended up in the ER. It was twisting my fallopian tube and very painful. He got me into surgery right away and was able to resolve it removing my fallopian tube and my ovary. Transitioning to menopause he was also very caring and always listened to me. He gave me all of my options and I was very happy to take his recommendations. I chose not to take hormone therapy. About three years after my last period I started bleeding and again I became so scared about cancer. This was also during Covid and nothing was normal but he got me in for an ultrasound right away. Everything looked OK but he did recommend to have another surgery to make sure and once again he took me through that surgery and I felt so comfortable about it. Luckily there wasn't anything wrong, but it was just a strange thing to deal with having been in menopause so many years. My last visit was yesterday because he told me he was retiring, but not until after he showed me a picture of his beautiful new grandbaby. Having the same doctor for 27 years, you get to chitchat quite a bit and I feel like he knew who I was and who my family was and I got to know an appropriate amount about him as he is my doctor. I wish Dr Larry the very best in his well earned retirement And I'm so very grateful that I got to have a physician like him to take me through the most important periods of my life. My daughters are the very best thing that I have in my life and being a mom is the best thing I've ever done and I'm very happy to have had Dr. Larry watching over us during that process and playing a big part in making it happen.
