5.0 star star star star starIf it wasn't for Dr. Striegel's caring attitude and professionalism my score could be drastically different. He is a physician that listens to his patients, takes the time for explanations doesn't use scare tactics to frighten the patient down a certain path. He's representing Northwestern Medicine but where Dr. Striegel goes I will follow.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderDr. Striegel always seems like he is in a big rush. He does not listen to your concerns or to what is being said, he just talks over you. During my annual exam I brought up specific concerns that were part of the exam but fell on def ears. Also, he hands out a sheet of paper during these exams and says "this is how you're going to die". Not very uplifting. I understand that he is trying to educate but has poor delivery. During my last visit he continuously bad mouthed the staff that checks patients in. Saying they must pull them off of the street. Not very comforting.

5.0 star star star star starAs a physician, I'd have no qualms about recommending Dr. Striegel. My wish is that he wasn't tied to a medical conglomerate, with a staff that, for the most part, looks and acts like it's being held against its will.

5.0 star star star star starHe is pleasant and courteous and gives me options for maintaining good health. Having a say in one’s maintenance is of utmost importance to me as I am not a pill popper and want to explore different forms of treatment to accomplish our end goal.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
