5.0 star star star star starShe was highly professional and educated me on the specifics of my condition, provided me with treatment options with the pros and cons of each choice. She gave me the time needed for me to ask as many questions as I wanted and I felt like she really cared and wanted me to make informed decisions.

5.0 star star star star starShe spent a lot of time with me. She made sure I understood everything about my new medication, discussed all of my concerns and (lately this is of utmost importance to me) made sure that everything we discussed was included in the papers I took home with me. Also the tests that she ordered, the appointments were made before I left, by the ladies at the front desk~extremely convenient and again very pleasant. I was really impressed by Mariellen and am happy to have her as my person before my person (Dr. [last name]).

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
