5.0 star star star star starHe was recommended by other patients with a similar diagnosis. Dr. Wolinsky's understanding of [condition] and his ability to explain everything so clearly about my options for recovery, and not sugar coating the not so good outcomes.

5.0 star star star star starHe is an excellent surgeon, Dr. Wolinsky is one of the best and most experienced surgeons in the country for the surgery I required. The surgery was complicated and it took 2 days, (approximately 20 hours to complete). Dr. Wolinsky put together a great team for the surgery and was very good following up in the hospital and answering any questions. He is excellent and kind. He is also flexible and accommodated the time to see me on an outpatient visit to his office, after I had already transferred to Shirly Ryan for rehabilitation. This surgery saved my life as I had an aggressive cancer of the cervical spine in a very delicate location. I traveled from KC to see him because he was highly recommended by spine surgeon Dr. [ ], from KUMC, who indicated he completed some of his medical specialty at NW and personally knew Dr. Wolinsky.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
