5.0 star star star star starShe is a professional, explained everything thoroughly. Gave my husband and I clear answers and was very patient with us. She is amazing and I’m so happy that we chose this team to help us thru this journey.

4.0 star star star star star_borderMelissa was helpful and informative. She was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I would have appreciated some of her suggestions to be phrased as questions rather than assumptions particularly as it relates to brca. It’s a sensitive topic that is also expensive and it’s hard when it feels like a doctor is only considering one avenue

5.0 star star star star starResponsive, personable, empathetic, Process oriented, great at handling a nervous / delicate situation. Knowledgable and insightful. Our experience with Melissa has been nothing but positive. She has made the awful biopsies I have had to get the best they can be. I love working with her.

5.0 star star star star starMelissa took excellent care of me during my procedure yesterday. These moments are difficult for me due to my medical history, so having her explain each step kept me calm throughout the procedure. Had less symptoms after too which I’m so grateful.

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderMelissa was very helpful, informative, and friendly. However, as a Telehealth appointment with her was my first interaction with the NW fertility clinic, I wish she had been a shown a bit more professionalism in a couple areas: I did not receive the Zoom link to log in to my Telehealth appointment until 1 minute after the appointment was supposed to start, and therefore 5 minutes before the appointment started was frantically trying to call the clinic to figure out how to access my appointment. Additionally, I wish she had a bit more professional Zoom setup for her Telehealth meetings. Blurring her background would have been sufficient, but I could see a lot of clutter and plastic bags and cleaning supplies on the counter behind her and it felt very strange and distracting. I also wish she had put the computer on a table or a desk instead of holding it close to her face because it was extremely zoomed in and either the bottom or top of her face was cut off for the whole call.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
