5.0 star star star star starOutstanding physician. Thouroughly understands what he treats, always has excellent ideas as far as glucose control, is so very generous with his time to make sure all is covered. The other condition he treats me for, he follows closely, and with minimal medication changes has that condition doing better as well. Totally understand and appreciate all his help.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Stein is, by far, the best doctor I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He has a unique combination of being friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely thorough. Every question I bring to the office is answered or follow up is promised if an answer is not immediately available. Not only has my diabetes become more controlled - A1C has dropped over 1 whole point - since I started coming here, but Dr. Stein went above and beyond today by checking if progress has been made on a personal matter that has been affecting my overall health even though it was unrelated enough to never make it into the notes of the last visit with him over 6 months ago. All said and done, Dr. Stein was my introduction to Northwestern Medicine and if your other doctors are even close to as good as him you will be my first stop for every medical need.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Stein came in the room ready. He had already read about my recent visit to the emergency room. He was very nice, did not rush the appointment, and answered all my questions. Then, he wrote the summary, orders, and instructions. He explained them very clearly, printed them, and even pushed my wheelchair back to the reception area.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
