Dr. Lahey was wonderful!! He put me at ease the moment he entered the exam room. He was very easy to talk to, took the time to listen when I spoke, was very personable, and actually added a little humor into our interaction. He spent quite a bit of time with me, addressed any concerns I had, and he did not rush me through the appointment.

Dr. Ryan Lahey, Is a wonderful doctor. He printed out exercises that I could do that were safe for my POTS. I didn't even have to ask. He listened to my concerns and answered my silly questions:D He also suggested getting an echocardiogram just so he could make sure everything with my heart is okay. Which is exactly what I wanted since I hadn't had one in years. Excellent, kind, personable, and friendly doctor.

External Professional Relationships

Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
