5.0 star star star star starOverall, I would absolutly recommend him because of his attention to details, but I would warn others that this can sometimes lead to waits because he is giving his other patients the same level of attention.

5.0 star star star star starHe is knowledgeable, and he makes time to see his patients during emergency illness, even when given last minute notice. Today I had an unexpected medical emergency. I notified Dr Nicolas about 8AM and he saw me before noon on same day. He further followed up personally with other departments to ensure further tests are completed. Having a Dr who makes time to see a patient during critical medical needs is extremely important and it applies to all.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Nicolas is pleasant, professional, thorough and caring. He took the time to cheek in with me to let me know he would be back in a minute or two. My blood pressure was high and asked his student to take it again. It was even higher. Dr. Nicolas took it and when taking it he coached me to think joyful thoughts. As well, moved the chair I was sitting on away from the wall and asked me to place my feet flat on the ground. We have a plan for me to take my blood pressure and send him the results. Dr. Nicolas and his student walked me to lab to get my blood drawn. I felt very cared for and would highly recommend him.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
