At Northwestern Medicine, our patient’s feedback is important to us. While different care providers have their own unique strengths, we strive to be as transparent as possible with our quality of care.
i have worked with Dr Sisson since 1983 and have always had great experiences with him. He helps me to understand what has happened, how best to deal work to make it better and what not to be doing. He has been a great educator, which is what is helpful to me.
When i have had orthopedic issues, i have always returned to Dr. Sisson or asked him who i should see. Since i tore my knee apart in early May, 1983, and he put it back together, he has always helped me to understand what i have done, what i should do to help the injury heal and generally educated me so i do what is best. He is always very patient. I dread the day he retires.
This was my 2nd opinion. ****I had gone to another doctor in the suburbs who said I had a "FOOT SPRAIN" Dr. Sission was GREAT, he explained to me that I have a calcification build up on my Achilles tendon (far from a sprain) and suggested a walking boot, took the time to show me pictures of the type I should buy, gave me xerox copies of shoes I could buy, and heel lifts. Then gave me a script for Physical therapy. After all of that, he explained what will happen if that doesn't work and if plan B fails, explained surgery option to remedy the problem. MUCH BETTER than my 1st opinion where the other doc spent all of 2 minutes w/me and never helped me. Thank God for Dr. Sisson, I am less worried now having had things explained to me and my options laid out before me on a game plan
