5.0 star star star star starHe is very well credentialed, smart, experienced, knowledgeable and is also a very competent/effective communicator. He listens carefully to the patient’s questions and concerns. He effectively communicates the relevant medical matters and choices in such a way that the patient can well understand what is occurring and the treatment options available. This physician is outstanding.

5.0 star star star star starI came from downstate Illinois for a second opinion for A-fib. After meeting with Dr. Patil I knew right away that if anyone was going to do anything to me it was him. Very straight forward tells you like it is. So easy to talk to and explains everything that he was going to do so well. I had my ablation on 11/12/21 and just returned for my 90 day follow up. We talked about what's going to happen next and what would happen if I went back into A-fib. I won't go anywhere else for cardiology but Northwestern. Even if I do have to drive 3 hours to get there. Can't say enough about how good he is for Northwestern!

5.0 star star star star starIt’s really rare…& As of late I’ve seen many doctors because of 6 recent emergency hospital visits & none took the time to have the empathy that he has. No offense to the other doctors either but some just doesn’t have the etiquette that he displayed & in my opinion this is important!

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
