5.0 star star star star starDr Petrungaro is a wonderful internist and clearly understands patient care. She took time to understand the reason for my visit and to explain the tests that would be run and possible outcomes.

5.0 star star star star starEven though Dr. Petrungaro has a large number of patients on her caseload, she remembers you and your personal health issues and concerns. She takes the time to listen and help make a decision on what is best course of treatment.

2.0 star star star_border star_border star_borderIrrelevant since she is leaving the practice. I was happy with her when I first became her patient, but with Northwestern’s demands for large patient loads, the level off care and bedside deteriorated dramatically. For this, I don’t entirely blame, but rather NM

5.0 star star star star starDr. Petrungaro is the best physician I’ve ever had. She’s thorough and I credit her for saving my life. Had she not been so adamant about getting to the root of my anemia, I wouldn’t have gotten a colonoscopy and my colon cancer wouldn’t have been caught at Stage 2.

5.0 star star star star starShe is an extraordinary physician, thorough, dedicated compassionate. She deeply cares about her patients. Dr P makes herself available despite the personal and family sacrifice required to do so. You are losing another one of your best and brightest. It will soon become evident the “physician extender” approach to medicine is not sustainable. Hopefully administration will take notice and return the decision making process on how best to see patients and practice medicine to physicians.

5.0 star star star star starI would recommend her to the world but the only problem is she’s leaving in January and there’s nobody like her. They will never be any doctor as detail oriented, as concerned and as empathetic as Dr. Kate. I recommended dozens of friends who do go to her and who feel the same way I do.

5.0 star star star star starAside from her professionalism and wonderful "bedside manner", Dr. Petrungaro is always very well prepared and makes the most of our time together. She takes as much time as needed to listen and answer my questions and address my concerns.

5.0 star star star star starShe takes time with me. Is attentive to the issues I have and always helps me resolve them. She is good at diagnosis and explaining why she thinks a certain way about a problem. She is easy to talk to.

2.0 star star star_border star_border star_borderMaybe there has been an increase in the number of patients she needs to see in a day, but there has been a noticeable decrease in the amount of empathy she has during our limited time together.

5.0 star star star star starAdditionally, Dr Petrungaro thinks out of the box. She clearly has my best well being. She makes me feel safe to share sensative information. She is also very responsive and available. I would highly recommend her to anyone

5.0 star star star star starI feel like Dr. Petrungaro Is on top of every question and all information I share with her. Everything she says and concludes makes perfect sense to me. I felt like a lot was accomplished in the time she spent with me.

5.0 star star star star starI absolutely LOVE Dr. Petrungaro. She has incredible bedside manner. She really takes her time and explains everything to you. You can talk to her about anything and she’s very open and honest. Two years ago I was in bad shape (weight, pre-diabetic, high cholesterol, etc) and she gave me some very tough love. I’ve lost 98lbs since and completely changed my health and life. I’ll never forget what she did to motivate me. One of the best doctors I’ve ever worked with.

5.0 star star star star starRecently, I had a test that showed I had very high cholesterol and a heart scan that showed some blockage. Dr. Petrungaro scheduled an appointment to talk to me regarding medication options and further appointments I needed to make. It's a comforting feeling when your dr is doing everything to prevent a health issue.

5.0 star star star star starPrior to moving to St. Louis, Dr Petrungaro was my primary physician. Upon my return to Chicago, I was able to schedule an appointment w/in a week. She was very thorough in reviewing my current medical needs and reviewing the linked information from BJC in St Louis. She listens intently and allows ample time to discuss patient concerns.
