5.0 star star star star starHe listened. He explained. He had an easy to speak to demeanor. He contacted me right away with test results and as a result of bloodwork, ordered tests Stat. Honestly, elicited trust after just a first appointment.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Yavitz genuinely is amazing. The other doctors I've seen over my issue were very dismissive and did not provide any good information or treatment advice. Dr. Yavitz listened to all my concerns, at no point did I feel rushed and he genuinely seemed to care about me and that meant a lot. Other doctors have treated me like I'm a scumbag for smoking and are a waste of their time, I didn't feel like that here at all. He acknowledged we are humans and make mistakes, let's work on the now. He ordered the test that would ease my mind and helped me get a different prescription that'll hopefully provide some relief. Even if it doesn't I'm glad he listened and is trying. Thank you so much.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
