5.0 star star star star starCame in from “on call” for a very late, delayed procedure. Gave details to my wife throughout, and her concern/care in hospital the following day and follow up visit was informed/practical but human and friendly

5.0 star star star star starDr. Wierzbicki was extremely nice and caring. She explained every option regarding our surgery. She also explained what is a hernia and all the symptoms to look out for in the future. She was extremely knowledgeable about the subject. We would highly recommend Dr. Wierzbicki.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Wierzbicki took the time to consult with me and answer questions prior to and following my surgery. She was able to complete my surgery with minimal cutting and techniques assisted by her skills with laparoscopic surgery. She also was my advocate for care with other doctors in the hospital when complications necessitated my return to the hospital.

5.0 star star star star starFriendly, good listener and not in a hurry. She explained things well and allowed me time to process and ask questions. She invited me to reach out with any concerns and they would be open to that. That is comforting to know.

5.0 star star star star starFrom our introductory visit when I was first admitted, the daily visits to check on my progress, the day of surgery, then after surgery before I was discharged, now days ago when I had my post surgery appointment with her, I found Dr. to be an all around exceptional Dr. and person. She possessed not only skill in surgery, but just as important, an ability to make me the patient feel comfortable, well cared for, and treated me with kindness and compassion.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Wierzbicki removed my gall bladder last year in a scheduled surgery and I was so pleased with her. She explained everything, her follow up was just as informative. This time, I rushed to the ER with what turned out to be an appendicitis attack. I was so happy that Dr. Wierzbicki was on call and would be doing the surgery. Once again, she was so kind. I highly recommend her and her office.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
