5.0 star star star star starDr Tate is amazing. This is the second surgery he has performed on me. He saved my life the first time and I am grateful that he was able to perform my second surgery. He is very patient and detail oriented with his explainations. He was reassuring and kind, which gave me confidence going into the surgery.

5.0 star star star star starHe is absolutely amazing. He has outstanding knowledge, experience and clinical judgment along with top notch bedside manner and compassion. He turned our experience from negative to positive quickly and because of him my husband is okay. If it wasn't for him, I was going to take my husband elsewhere. Thank you Dr Tate- you are so much appreciated and NW is SO lucky to have you!

5.0 star star star star starDr. Tate explained the treatment options from my first meeting with him and listened carefully to my concerns. I was convinced halfway through my first meeting that the correct course of action was to transfer all of my Care and future testing to Northwestern Hospital under Dr. Tate.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Tate listened carefully to all of my concerns and patiently explained the treatment plan which he proposed working with the radiation oncologist. He also explained that this operation to remove recurrent benign meningioma is a little easier than the first operation done three years ago when I had a very large meningioma. I found his explanation and manner of showing me the MRI report and the specific areas he would be treating to be very reassuring and I am very relaxed and looking forward to surgery by Dr. Tate and subsequent proton beam treatment.

5.0 star star star star starHe is a very caring person. The most important thing he is a fantastic surgeon that has been working with me for 4 years making sure I was ok. After surgery is going exactly how he planned for. Truly a blessing to me!

5.0 star star star star starAs I I have said previously, he is a physician who is personable. As a specialist in Neurosurgery, he showed a good command of his specialty. He explained with great confidence what I need to know at the point in time. and what I should be looking for in the next few months.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
