5.0 star star star star starHe is extremely kind. Respectful. He is a wonderful oncologist. I feel safe with him. He is the easiest to talk to, no matter how serious my condition is. I felt comfort in his disposition to me and my daughters. I felt more at ease knowing even if I die, he acts like he cares. I want that for my family, and myself. I'm not just another stage 4 [ ] [ ] cancer patient who dies and disregarded as a routine part of a job. I feel Dr. Shaukat has that wonderful ability. It's appreciated more than ever.

5.0 star star star star starHe's smart and willing to work with me in my decision to keep fighting for now. I also know that there are still other options on the table. My health will eventually change in a sad, and negative way. But I feel supported and respected in my decisions. He is the first doctor open to lowering the doses of my medication, or dropping it temporarily or all together. I'm very grateful to have found him in this stage of my life. It matters more than you know. Thank You!!

5.0 star star star star starDr. Shaukat was one of the nicest doctors I have ever met. He sat down and explained everything. He even drew a diagram to explain the best treatment. I actually felt as if he was family he was so caring. I told him I was terrified of what was coming and he calmed me down. I left with a new hope that things will be alright. Truly a super caring doctor. I am so glad I was sent to him.

5.0 star star star star starHe is very smart. Kind, honest and supportive. I only wished I found him sooner in my cancer journey. They have a wonderful team approach to help me with all my struggles. From the wonderful nurses, reception, pain management and social workers. They are caring for myself in every area of my life. I feel less lost and more supportive.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
