He is very proficient and an excellent neurosurgeon. He actually sees his patients in the postoperative period which is rare now a days. More surgeons have their PA ( Physician Assistant) or NP ( Nurse Practitioner) see the patient for post operative care. One doesn't see the surgeon after surgery
