5.0 star star star star starI had an excellent appointment today both in terms of office waiting and logistics, and the appointment itself with Dr. Hawthorne. This was my first appointment with Dr. Hawthorne, and he provided a great balance of professionalism, knowledge, and approachability, which was a welcome combination. I look forward to continuing my care with this practice and Dr. Hawthorne.

5.0 star star star star starHe is cordial, attentive, always able to explain his diagnosis and then applies what will meet the problem. My relationship with him is fairly recent after primary care physician retired but he has stepped up and carried on and continued the same high standard I have always had from NWM.

5.0 star star star star starDue to retirements and insurance changes, Dr. Hawthorne is my 4th PCP since 2021 - feel like I hit the jackpot with him! He's clearly reviewed my health history and focuses on the most relevant items. He also has a rare gift in that he appears to actually LISTEN to the answers you provide to questions and encourages the asking of questions too.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
