5.0 star star star star starI found Dr. Fugar to be an exceptional doctor which is difficult to find today. Here are the reasons why I rate him so highly. He immediately established trust and a good rapport with us and, he was not hurried in meeting with my daughter and I. He took the time to discuss her medical concerns and asked her appropriate probing questions even relating some of her concerns when he was in medical school. Again, this manner continued the development of trust he was establishing that he probably knew my daughter needed. He treated her respectably as an intelligent young woman who needed assurance about her physiological questions. Dr. Fugar had this unique and high emotional intelligence as he he was processing and evaluating his patient. This is quite rare for a "younger" generation, so I would almost say he is wise beyond his years (I would guess I'm at least 25 years his senior). The drive to see Dr. Fugar (it was the soonest appointment we could get with a cardiologist) as well worth it and actually, truly a blessing.

5.0 star star star star starI have to emphasize what an AMAZING doctor, Dr. Fugar is. He's such a great listener and ask questions about my health in general to get a better understanding of the care he can provide. He went in great detail in reviewing the scan results and clearly pointed out where plaque existed but none a concern at this point. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone needing a cardiologist.

5.0 star star star star starExplained my problems thoroughly he explained my options. He said someone will be getting back to me with what I wanted to do and when we would go to the next step, he was very thorough and he was related to the patient thoroughly.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
