A Message From the Woodstock Hospital Vice President and Chief Nursing Executive

Northwestern Medicine Woodstock Hospital is recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Pathway to Excellence hospital. Our nurses exemplify the Northwestern Medicine core values of putting patients first, excellence, integrity, and teamwork as they work collaboratively with interprofessional team members to care for and promote the health of our community. Our Interprofessional Relationship-Based Care practice model provides the framework that drives the relationships between us, our peers, our patients and their families.

We promote and foster a workplace that is respectful to all and value each person as an individual. Our Workplace Violence Committee serves as our guiding star for leaders and staff to collaborate in providing safety recommendations to ensure adherence to these principles. We encourage nurses to participate in volunteer opportunities within the community to create positive change.

Shared decision-making is an essential tenet of nursing practice at Woodstock Hospital, allowing nurses and practitioners to investigate and implement evidence-based practices that influence their work environment and positively impact patient and team experiences. We also encourage and support our nurses in their professional growth. That’s why we offer mentoring and programs to help them purse advanced degrees, achieve national board certification and participate in state and national nursing organizations.

Please contact us to learn more about the exciting career opportunities we offer as a Northwestern Medicine nurse.

Sincerely,

Lori Sullivan, MSN, RN, NEA-BC
