The Emergency Department at Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital is designated as a Level II Trauma Center. This hospital is staffed 24 hours a day by physicians who are board certified in emergency medicine and has trauma surgeons available, as well as a specially trained nursing staff certified in trauma nursing, advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support. This medical center offers immediate access to X-ray equipment, CAT scanners, advanced surgical facilities and intensive care units.
