Diabetes Prevention Program (Programa de Prevención para Diabetes)

This three-part series showcases the basics of recognizing increased risks for diabetes. Topics included in the sessions are understanding increased risk of onset due to genetics and heredity, healthy eating by portion distortion, MyPlate, water intake, and increasing physical activity with a step challenge. The program ends with conversation around eating, storing and substituting foods in season for healthy shopping on a budget.

American Heart Association Family and Friends CPR (American Heart Association - Familiares y Amigos Resucitación Cardiopulmonar)

This American Heart Association course is designed for anyone who wants to learn basic CPR. Participants learn how to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants and how to help an adult, child, or infant who is choking. Practice with manikins. No written or skills test is required. This is not a course for those requiring a "credential" for CPR.
