We have one of the largest neuro-oncology teams in the country. This includes experts from involved disciplines, like neurosurgeons specialized in brain or spine tumors, expert radiation oncologists, medical oncologists and neurologists specialized in tumors of the central nervous system. Experts in neuropathology and neuroradiology (imaging) ensure efficient and accurate diagnoses. Neuro-radiology is embedded in the brain tumor institute facility to provide patients with an expert review within two hours after an MRI. Our oncology experts provide additional expertise for lung, breast, kidney and skin cancers (among other cancer experts). Our dedicated nurses and support teams are also an integral part of your care team. And, our social workers can facilitate access to other disciplines and resources outside our center, if needed. Our world-renowned experts work together in the Lou and Jean Malnati Brain Institute of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
