Symptoms of Infertility

Infertility has one symptom: the inability to get pregnant after one year of regular, unprotected sex. For couples in which the woman is over age 35, the diagnosis of infertility is made after six months of regular sex without birth control.

For male infertility in particular, an additional symptom may be erectile dysfunction, the inability to achieve or maintain an erection.
