Symptoms of Peyronie's Deformity

Peyronie’s deformity is a curvature of the penis that can be in either direction (up, down, left, or right) and range in severity from a few degrees to >90 degrees. It is the result of a scar that forms in the thick sheath that surrounds the erectile bodies in the penis causing pain, erectile dysfunction, or shortening of the penis.

It often results in the inability to have sexual intercourse. The severity of personal discomfort is not associated with severity and patients may wish a correction of this condition irrespective of the degree of curvature.
