Symptoms of Urethral Stricture

Symptoms of a stricture include:

• Discomfort due to the continuous sensation of a full bladder
• Frequent urge to urinate
• Prolonged urination
• Weak urinary stream
• Inability to void at all

Severe complications can arise when the retained urine cannot be routinely evacuated. The bladder can become infected with bacteria. Or, the transport of urine from the kidneys to the bladder can be impaired, leading to kidney damage.
