5.0 star star star star starVery knowledgeable, and personable but it's hard to get an appointment . He's a very busy man but if you have an issue he'll see you. He has a great PA as an assistant, who is easier to get an appointment with, once you have seen Dr Brenner.

5.0 star star star star starThis was our initial visit with Darren Brenner, MD. Our impression is that he is willing to get to the bottom of the symptoms that have tanked our quality of life. We have basically been at a zero for the past year and he took the time to make us feel comfortable and understood today. Our previous experiences elsewhere have not been the case. His knowledge base & experienced team actually give us hope that things can get better. We never felt rushed at all and our current questions have been answered. We are grateful and appreciate his time, care & consideration.

5.0 star star star star starHe was on top of my case, which is fairly long and complicated, and he did not leap to any conclusion other than the importance of a series of evaluations before developing a plan. When an X-ray that he ordered that day revealed a serious issue, he had his staff member get me to come back and go directly to the ER. Over 4 days he organized my treatment in at least 4 units (ER, a unit in the Olson building, Intensive Care, and General Medicine.

5.0 star star star star starHe has a relaxed demeanor, patience, generous with his time to answer any questions, even to just sit down and be a "regular guy" for a few minutes. He's also very thorough and responsive to any questions I ask on the Patient Portal. And he's really staying involved with my care as a good diagnostician!

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
