5.0 star star star star starHe's knowledgeable, kind, I went to an ENT for about 8 months when another specialist recommended that I get a second opinion because the other specialist could see that I needed a surgery but Thorek M H ENT just prescribed antibiotics for about a year and Dr. Kern knew immediately i needed a procedure and he said im just sorry you suffered for so long. I suffered from Thorek MH. Never again NMH all the way!

5.0 star star star star starDr. Kern is a great doctor, very knowledgeable, informative, and provides a great deal of empathy, which continually reinforces our decision, roughly 1 year ago, to work with Dr. Kern and his team on my Olfactory Neuroblastoma cancer.

5.0 star star star star starI think there is no doubt that he is very good at what he does. I love that he's funny sometimes and friendly, but some of my questions were not taken seriously or thoroughly answered. There are still some things I would like to know, but he answered my questions kind of "on the fly" as he was walking out of the room and in a too casual manner so such a serious surgery. He never said "Do you have any other questions?", which, when someone is digging around in your head, there are things you'd like to know.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Kern, from the moment I met him, I knew I found a good one. I think it was a stroke of luck to find him. His demeanor is very calm. I'm already a calm person. I liked how he put me at ease when he entered the examination room. He inspected my sinus cavities and performed the tests and exams to give my sinus a score. I liked how collaborative he is with me as a patient. I think he is just what I needed as far as a nice patient doctor bond. I like how the xray went. Of course I was scared to see the results but he put me at ease with the soothing tone in his voice. I put my trust in him from day 1. He really takes an interest in my sinus and makes it his work to get them operating normally. I like how he set me up for the next appointment. I was prescribed the real deal drugs that was a gift. I had been dealing with my sinus issues for too long. He could tell I was in discomfort from the xray and me telling them my symptoms and background concerning my sinus. I liked reading the after visit notes. I liked learning about how I scored with the sinus tests/exams. I can't thank the great people at Northwestern enough. This truly is a gift I feel so much better already and it's only day 1 after the visit and on the meds.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Kern is very personable & thorough. Prior to the surgery, he explained why & how the procedure would work. After the procedure, he was there to answer my questions & provide additional care to assist on my healing & total recovery.
