5.0 star star star star starI never experienced the Care from a ortho surgeon before in my life. But I will say Joseph and his team are the best. They really do care about your health and your concerns. It's very scary going under the knife. I feel comfortable all my questions were answered when I was there. Thank you team

5.0 star star star star starJo, did a great job listening to my history. He did a number of muscle tests to verify that the severity of my L shoulder dysfunction required an MRI. He demonstrated exceptional empathy, professionalism, and expertise. Frankly, I have seen many ortho doctors over the years due to my feeling that there was something wrong with my shoulder due to my hypermobility. The arm is too wobbly and didn't stay in place as I worked with weights. Jo was the FIRST medical professional to order an MRI. Why? I finally presented with significant pain and weakness which has interfered with my ability to sleep and perform ADL's. Such problems may have been preventable, had early testing via the MRI had been done.

5.0 star star star star starJoe Boutet was there pre op to answer any questions before going into surgery. Post op communications were fast and thorough. Joe took time during my post op visit to discuss results of surgery and plans for my physical activities going forward. Very patient and caring. Relatable.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
