Excellent care. Knew my past history, prepared for the visit and ordered imaging in advance. It was important to him to hear what was going on. He listened and asked key questions. Examined me personally, based on our focused discussion. He was very intentional in his exam and identified specifically where the issues were. Immediately set plan of care and followup. He is smart, very thorough and effective.

Dr. Mutawakkil is excellent! He took the time to patiently and thoroughly address all my questions and concerns and arranged to have me squeezed in that day for an MRI in order to expedite the results and avoid me having to make a return trip to Northwestern. He then called me to discuss the test results the following evening (6:30 on a Friday night, no less!). I so appreciate the excellent care and personal attention I received and would highly recommend him.

Dr. Mutawakkil explained very clearly why I was having bunion pain. He visually showed the flexibility in my left big toe, compared to my right. I have a pronounced bunion. But also have arthritis in my toe. I saw another foot surgeon prior to this appointment who didn't include that information. Dr. Mutawakkil explained my options and told me there are things I can do outside of surgery that can help with the pain.
