5.0 star star star star starShe has a pleasant, friendly way of working with her patients from the start. My second appointment with her was for a completely different reason and yet she inquired as to how I was doing with the initial problem for which I was seen, before explaining how we would proceed with the testing of the day.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Mathew was very easy to talk with. She also allowed my daughter to ask a question to help me better understand what has happened to me, and exactly how, when I need to take medications to ease my pain and to restore good health. I like her easy manner, and she listened to me. She explained the nature of my injury, and the necessary healing time. Dr. Mathew asked questions, and she looked at me and listened to me closely when I was answering. Thank gave me confidence in Dr. Mathew. Her suggestions have helped, and I'm looking forward to the follow-up visit.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
