She knows her subject matter, but she also has a kind and gracious bedside manner. She's very generous with her time and tries to make sure that all treatment options have been explored and that all my questions have been addressed.

Dr Gera is an excellent doctor. She does not rush through our visit. She encourages questions and provides clear answers. I appreciate the rapport she has provided. She also is receptive to questions via email and I appreciate that option for communication

Thorough, proactive, extremely aware and attentive of patient’s diagnosis and concerns and wonderfully kind. Dr Gera listens and treats you as a partner when it comes to what works best for you as an individual. You’re definitely NOT just “another case”.

There is never a long wait, the nurses are friendly and the doctor seems very confident and sure of herself. I am very pleased with Dr. Gera . She is very approachable and is very knowledgeable. She never seems rushed.

I had an experience with a very abrupt diagnosis from a neurologist in Rockford. Dr. Gera was matter of fact, but kind, knowledgable and caring. She has answered all of my questions to my satisfaction.

I was scheduled with Dr Gopal with Neurology Movement Disorder Clinic. Upon arrival, I had almost no wait time and a very professional MA to check me in. Unfortunately, Dr Gopal couldn’t treat me, but she was very empathic towards my situation and referred me to NW downtown and she even sent an email on my behalf and they literally called and scheduled me that afternoon! She went above and beyond to make sure my trip was not a wasted trip since I drive 3 hours to NW. I’m actually sad that Dr Gopal can’t be my dr. Definitely recommend her and her office for sure!

She really cares about me as a patient. She realized that part of my problem is that I was taking medicine prescribed by doctors that I have seen prior to her (in the area where I live) that is causing my problems.

Very caring Doctor and she does all she can for me. She recently got one of my medications approved thru my insurance company. I'm grateful for her efforts and that of the staff who made this happen. Thank you!!!

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg. To learn more about our Disclosure and Professional Integrity Policy, and the conflict of interest policies of our joint affiliate survey partners, please go to our Office for Regulatory Affairs Policies page.
