He takes time to explore issues without being rushed, listens very attentively, and provides thorough explanations for treatment options and plans.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Shah took the time to hear my concerns after covid and he continued to do the same today with some lingering symptoms. He was very reassuring and not dismissive. What a wonderful cardiologist NM is lucky enough to have.

5.0 star star star star starOh he is really very approachable. He had reviewed my last visit and knew who I was and my heart history. I have found many heart doctors to be technical excellent but lacking in human response. Dr Shah combines the best of both worlds. Plus he truly respects his patients.

5.0 star star star star starDr Shaw was fantastic! He had prepared by weeding through my extremely thick medical record from the few years looking for previous cardio red flags and found some! He let me point out a few things that make me a medical rarity that could have cardio impact. I felt respected and heard. He explained his next steps and why he was taking them. He showed me a few ways to contact him with questions. He is aware of my enormous team of specialists and will be coordinating with them to add pieces to my puzzle. He assured me if he hit anything he felt was important he would be reaching out to his cardio colleagues. So still pretty worried about what is going on, but he’s on it! I will sleep better tonight.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
