5.0 star star star star starI have been seeing Dr. Kansal for 16 years and she has taken extremely good care of me. She is easy to talk to and a very good listener to anything I have to say. She is very knowledgeable and I totally trust her judgement on my medical issues.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Kansal is very nice. She listens to the patient and is not an alarmist. A friend has spoken well of Dr. Kansal and my brother has recently become one of her patients after his Northwestern cardiologist retired.

5.0 star star star star starShe was fantastic. She reassured this old man that he wasn't in danger of keeling over, at least not in the next hour or so, during which our conversation ranged from the heart, the home, the classroom, the Congress. It was one of the most invigorating doctor visits I have ever had. (Maybe she was just trying to get my heart racing! Success in that department!) Her professionalism was in evidence as she tried to assure me that when laymen read what doctors write (if they can even read it) they often misunderstand the language. What sounded dire and full of doom to me, words like "regurgative" and the plain but deceptive "gross," were not always words to die by. Dr. Kansal metaphorically took my hand and led me away from "dangerous" vocabulary!

5.0 star star star star starI look forward to coming to see Dr. Kansal. She has A warm and friendly personality yet when it comes down to business, she gets the job done! She takes time with you and is so very encouraging. I have a TAAA. I am an active person and was concerned about what I could continue doing with the aneurysm. She has helped me feel good about continuing all my activities with little modification!

5.0 star star star star starDr. Kansal has been my cardiologist since we moved to Chicago 11 years ago. She has worked with me and monitored my condition. She is very professional and is able to explain any developments. She organizes next steps and sets up connections with the appropriate physician’s. We have established a level of trust.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg. To learn more about our Disclosure and Professional Integrity Policy, and the conflict of interest policies of our joint affiliate survey partners, please go to our Office for Regulatory Affairs Policies page.
