5.0 star star star star starI found Dr. Frydman to have excellent bedside manner. He talked me through options, procedures, and answered any questions I asked. The only (minor) complaint I have is regards to scheduling. It would have been nice to schedule surgery and the post-op visit at the same time so I could secure time off work as far in advance as I did for surgery. I had to push my pre-op follow up a bit further out than was recommended due to not giving work adequate advanced notice.

5.0 star star star star starThe moment Dr. Frydman introduced himself to me, immediately I felt that I can trust him with my surgery. He was calming, friendly, encouraging and very professional throughout the surgery, hospital stay and the follow up. I felt extremely lucky to have Dr. Frydman as my surgeon. Will definitely recommend him!

5.0 star star star star starHe asked me, pertinent questions, examined me and explained to me what I needed to do and why. When I got nervous and asked if I could bring my wife in so he could explain to her he was very nice about it and went over the whole thing a second time just so we would be comfortable.

5.0 star star star star starI rated Dr. James D. Frydman a 10/10 because of his exceptional skill, professionalism, and compassionate care throughout my umbilical hernia surgery. Dr. Frydman took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, answer all my questions, and ensure I felt confident and at ease every step of the way. His attention to detail and dedication to delivering the best possible outcome were evident from our first consultation to the post-operative care. Dr. Frydman's approachable and caring demeanor made a significant difference in my experience, and I am grateful for his outstanding support and expertise during my surgery and recovery.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
