5.0 star star star star starShe seemed to care about my strange case. Let me know what tests they needed to do and explained results and tried different therapudics(out of the box) to see if they could possibly work. She reached out to colleagues to discuss my case, to gather other opinions and options of treatment.I can message her anytime and gets back with me in a timely manner.

5.0 star star star star starShe was very informative and made sure I understood what was going on. And said she would help me find a cost saving solution for a very expensive drug. She also gave me a list of resources to correct years of bad habits.

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderHer knowledge is appreciated but Dr Bauman seems to over share the negative-everything that can go wrong like the commercials that give you every listed side effect of a medication. I may be looking for a new doctor.

5.0 star star star star starDr Baumann is very knowledgeable and explains everything clearly. She is extremely good dealing with complex cases and treating them successfully. I had esophageal issues that my prior gastroenterologist was unable to fix, but Dr Baumann came to the rescue, and now I’m feeling so much better. I highly recommend Dr Baumann and am happy to have found her.

5.0 star star star star starI have a rare condition and there is not a lot of literature on it.As a retired physician I have a lot of questions. She is willing to address them all and listen to might thoughts as well as show sympathy for the limitations. It would be much harder without her.

3.0 star star star star_border star_borderSee reasons above. I don’t understand why the doctor barely made eye contact and did not examine me. And why her assistant would take 20 minutes to give me a printout on very perfunctory suggestions that one can read on line.

5.0 star star star star starI would most certainly recommend Dr. Alexandra Baumann to family members or friends who needed a Gastroenterologist. She was professional and thorough in her exam and questions. I came away with a plan for my next steps, additional physician referrals to investigate possible additional health issues, a prescription to help my condition and follow up instructions with the doctor. I was very happy with the outcome of my appointment with Dr. Baumann.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
