5.0 star star star star starDr. Akhter seems to have a mastery of various and differing cardiology problems, and she knows how to apply that knowledge to my individual case. A good combination of science, common sense, and personal concern. She's a winner.

5.0 star star star star starAs I have already noted, she is an exceptional physician in every way--especially in how she conveys the rationales for her conclusions. And she listens carefully, remembering and relating multiple issues in discussions about her recommendations. Dr. Akhter is welcoming and invites questions.

5.0 star star star star starDr Akhter is incredibly competent and knowledgeable in her field of expertise. Aside from being a gifted clinician she is kind and caring. She is a very busy MD but when she is with you she never appears in a hurry or distracted. She explains things thoroughly and in a way that easy to understand. I always feel seen, heard, and included in plan of care during my visits.

5.0 star star star star starIn the last eighteen months I have met more doctors and nurses than I had encountered in my entire life. For me, the worst thing a doctor can do is treat you like a number. That is the exact opposite of the way Dr. Akhter treats me. Obviously all doctors want to do whatever they can to keep you in as much good health as possible but Dr. Akhter takes it to a stratospheric level. Medically she moves at a rapid pace so I am recovering as quick as possible. She's GREAT!!

5.0 star star star star starI left another Dr in the practice because they were to aggressive proscribing medications for me. They did not seem concerned with the problems these medications were causing me. They did listen but kept pushing more medications regardless of the side affects they caused. Dr Akhter listens to the patient and there ALL there concerns. Totally different approach to my cardiac health.
