5.0 star star star star starVery patient and listened to my medical concerns without rushing . Dr. Welsh was thorough. My blood pressure eas turned out to be higher than it usually is, waited to the end of the visit and took my pressure again it was even higher . The nurse called him back into the room about the results and he talked to me again asked questions .and suggested that I take it easy and to take my pressure again after I returned home , rest and take my blood pressure again .I was to either go in my chart and forward the information to him. If it was to get worse go to ER and contact him.

5.0 star star star star starShea showed dedicated care for my situation, was able to cover a variety of topics, and did not make me feel rushed in answering questions at all. Shea is the kind of doctor I was looking for at northwestern since my former Northwestern PCP left 6 years ago.

5.0 star star star star starI am a stage 4 recent cancer survivor and Doctor Welsh has been helping me navigate and get overdue testing to bring my whole health profile up to date. As a senior I appreciate feeling heard and Doctor Welsh allows me to explain what is happening with my health issue, not just rush me out the door. NW is lucky to have Dr Welsh , I am certainly spreading the word about his care of patient's needs.

He talked me through the exam and clearly communicated what he saw and what he thought was going on. He has a great bedside manner and put me at ease.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
