At Northwestern Medicine, our patient’s feedback is important to us. While different care providers have their own unique strengths, we strive to be as transparent as possible with our quality of care.
Dr Levine has a great demeanor, listens, is smart and humble, explains what he is doing or why to be concerned (or not) about symptoms, and doesn't push unnecessary or limited-utility diagnostic tests. Refers to good specialists as needed.
Fairly new to his practice. So far so good. Only problem is being with such a huge group is that it's hard to get a hold of him without going through a cast of thousands. I'm coming to him from a small practice where I could call and as to talk to my doctor.
Dr. Levine's instructions were clear about the next phase of my medical plan (weight loss and testing.) We covered multiple topics and I received a flu shot, but I never felt rushed and never felt that he was interacting with a questionaire on a monitor.
My primary doctor retired so this was my first in-person appointment with Dr. Levine. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and comprehensive. I would give him a higher rating, but I can only base it on this one visit...and he needs something to aspire to!
Dr. Levine understands me as a full person and asks questions to make a diagnosis that takes my lifestyle into account. He is knowledgeable, professional and incredibly friendly. I always feel comfortable going to him!
Have only gone a few times but it's difficult to get a timely appointment. Though I understand it may have to do with the current pandemic situation. Facilities are clean and staff are helpful and friendly.
Professional, he listens and gives sufficient time for examination and discussion to make the visit beneficial; addresses all concerns and excellent explanation of care and recommendations; caring and genuinely concerned
My original primary care physician retired. I found Dr. Levine through a recommendation from another physician. Dr. Levine proved a very good replacement. I rely on his care and judgment very greatly, and happily recommend him to friends, etc., at any opportunity.
Dr Matthew B Levine has been my primary doctor for over a year now, so when he joined your group it was an easy decision. Matthew's father, Dr Barry Levine(retired)was my primary since 1986 and had excellent care from him. I felt confident with continuing in Dr Mathew L Levine's care.
This was my first appointment with Dr. Levine. I was very impressed. He will be my primary from now forward. He reviewed my records. Asked lots of questions and made recommendations which I will follow. He also called for a follow-up appointment in 3 months. I felt very comfortable with him. He earned my trust very quickly.
My doctor for 35 years, Barry M. Levine, M.D., is the father of my current doctor, Matthew B. Levine, M.D. Like father, like son, Matt is a caring professional with a warm approach.I've seen Matt since July 2017. I plan on seeing him for some years to come. He's a keeper!!!
The hospital is using intelligent measures in the middle of the pandemic. All of the personnel are being patient and professional. And Dr. Levine is the best doctor I've ever had, his communication is clear but not cold.
Very happy with my care from Dr Levine. This was my first yearly physical with him. He spent a lot of time with me and had read over my charts before my visit. He read over 100 plus pages of my records the night before! He was well acquainted with my history. Very pleased with my choice of having him as my GP.
Have been with NM for many years, my experiences have always been great. This was first visit with Dr. Levine and felt he was very informative and seems to have a practice of doing things to prevent or minimize risks of health issues.
Efficient processing of check-in, covid precautions, lab work and taking of xrays. Dr Levine gave me his full attention and spent the necessary time to evaluate my condition, convey his diagnosis and prescribed a plan of action succinctly with a much appreciated professional and personal manner.
Fast & efficient office. I love the ability to do all my medical info on line ... insurance, medicines, history, etc. before I arrive. Speeds up the process. Dr. Levine is excellent! Thorough & explains things well. The lab is also efficient. Very little waiting.
Dr. Levine has done a great job over the last year plus, proactively coordinating with a large number of other specialists, to help me successfully navigate an initially overwhelming set of new medical issues. I appreciate his medical knowledge, pragmatism, forthrightness and leadership.
It's a great hospital. It is clean, functional, well laid out, has excellent support staff and common sense rules...Dr. Levine has been my doctor since before he worked for NWH. He is the best doctor I've had. I can be a difficult patient and I can feel overwhelmed by too many drugs or medical actions but Dr. Levine explains why certain actions are the best course to take. He also explains how each treatment will benefit me or how the lack will harm me. But he doesn't push too hard, and I haven't felt I have to move on to avoid a course of action when I'm feeling resistant. He's a great doctor.
Dr. Matthew Levine is extremely thorough in his examination. He has given me excellent medical advice, and I put some of it to use immediately, with outstanding results. He also has a calm & reassuring manner. I strongly recommend him.
Dr. Matthew Levine is a highly qualified and dedicated doctor. I feel I am in good hands with him as my primary care physician. It was not a difficult transition to be a part of his new practice when my .previous doctor retired.
Very efficient sign in process. Was called back on schedule. Staff was attentive and courteous. Dr. Levine was very thorough. He took his time in getting my medical history and didn't mind answering my many questions. He has a very pleasant "bed-side" manner with his patients.
