5.0 star star star star starWhen I arrive for my appointment, the nurse told me that the doctor wouldn't be able to spend much time with me. However, when Dr. Kochman spent plenty of time with me, listening carefully to my input and recommending a change in one of my prescriptions, scheduling bloodwork just after our appointment, and setting up a second visit six weeks from now. She was warm and pleasant.

5.0 star star star star starVery informative and thorough. Made me feel welcome and comfortable. She shared all the information about what each test was, and discussed options in a way that was easy to understand, and made me feel not just confident and comfortable with her recommendations, but also knowing what to expect and what both the short and long term plan of action should be.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Kochman has wonderful bedside manner. She is very informative, helpful, and actually listens (which is a rare trait among doctors, in my experience.) She's the first doctor I've met who makes me feel like she actually wants to help her patients achieve a better quality of life via their health.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Kochman is the best physician I have seen at NM in 10 years. She was kind, attentive, listend carefully, was extremely well informed, and aleviated my anxiety over the experience. Many physicians should have chosen other careers. Dr. Kochman, however, is doing the right thing.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Kochman answered my (many!) questions and had a lot of patience, which I genuinely appreciated. It had been a fairly stressful week coming in but she made me feel at ease and heard. I have also never had a doctor leave comments on MyChart test results. In fact, most of my experiences have involved calling to ask questions about any elevated/low numbers. To take the time to leave a note on the results to explain what they mean and what action should be taken if any is incredible. I will be (and already have been) recommending Northwestern and Dr. Kochman to everyone! I truly wish this is what every medical experience was like for everyone.

5.0 star star star star starShe was very professional, asked follow up questions, and seemed to care about my health. She also took into account insurance in her responses and was honest if something might need to come out of pocket.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
