5.0 star star star star starDr. Thau was great. He had an excellent bedside manner, he quickly diagnosed the problem, explained what the issue was and the treatment protocol in a very comprehensive and easily understandable manner. While he was quick and efficient, he did not give off the feeling of rushing to finish the appointment; he answered all my questions and made sure I understood what the next steps were.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Thau performed two cataract surgeries on me in the past two months. I now have 20/20 vision in each eye. I have not seen this well without glasses since I was age 12, and now I am 73 and experience the world through new eyes. It's amazing, and I credit this to him and his team. In addition, I experience not one iota of discomfort in either of these surgeries, including post-op. I couldn't ask for anything more.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Thau was very precise and accurate with the diagnosis and treatment recommendations. My eye felt much better over the course of a week. I like that constant follow up was part of the treatment which give them an option to modify the medications etc if needed. He also explained very well my situation.

5.0 star star star star starAlways very friendly and respectful. He explained a cataract surgery to me in details answering clearly all of my questions and concerns. So, before the procedure I was confident that it will be successful. At the matter of fact, he surprised me by announcing that he has already finished the surgery while I was still getting ready to experience some pain at the beginning of it. I'm very satisfied with dr Thau service and highly recommend him to anyone in need of cataract surgery, especially those afraid of pain.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Thau has excellent bedside manner, and he took time to explain everything that was going on with my eyes. I learned more about my eyes in the 15 minutes we spent together then in the prior 60 years of my life!

5.0 star star star star starHe was very patient and made me feel as if I was the only person that he had to see. He wasn't in a hurry to get rid of me but I. Fact, asked about the new glasses and shared with me that from looking at what had been done, another script wasn't needed but maybe some eye drops for dry eye and then gave me a couple of the sample that he felt would work best. And I thanked him for that!

5.0 star star star star starGave me easy to understand options for my treatment and, what I considered a reasonable common sense option when I asked what he considered the best of those options. I have found that approach to medical treatment is very rare, but one I appreciate very much.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Thau is possibly one of the best doctors I've ever had. He listens, spends adequate time with his patients - never made me feel rushed - and it is apparent that he deeply cares about the health and comfort of his patients. He is extremely knowledgeable and confident but not in a prideful way. He explained things in a way that I understood and really made himself available to him me. Every practice needs someone like Dr. Thau!

5.0 star star star star starI had a very positive experience with Dr. Thau. He took the time to give me background information, including pictures on the display screen, to help me understand his diagnosis. Excellent communicator and friendly demeanor. The person who did my preliminary eye tests was also excellent. Positive demeanor and very friendly and professional (I forgot his name. He has Starry Night tattoo on his arm).

5.0 star star star star starDr. Thau has a great personality and a great bedside manner. He's thorough and explains things in a way that's simple for the patient to understand. I've had both eyes operated on and I will recommend him to family and friends. He's such a special person Northwestern should be proud to have him on staff.

5.0 star star star star starI would definitely recommend him and have already. I have had this procedure done every year for seven years and this is the first time a doctor sat down and answered my questions. He gave me options and on top of that provided me with samples for my dry eyes and a sheet giving me a routine for my eyes and which product works well. I so appreciate his time and that he didn't make me feel like a number. Best part he didn't even rush out the door. We need more examples of great doctors like him.
