5.0 star star star star starI had been dubious about going to immediate care for my concern because I didn't think they could do much to help me. But after waiting 6 weeks to see the doctor only to find out she was now out of network, I had to try something to resolve the endless pain I was in. James Yanke listened to me and was compassionate and empathetic. I didn't feel like I was wasting his time. He was thorough and thoughtful in his care plan, took the time to explain everything completely and then provided not only a referral to orthopedics but a solution to the incessant pain I'd been experiencing since the beginning of December. Last night was the first time I slept without waking up every 2 hours due to the pain! I am thrilled to be able to do something as simple as walk my dog without grimacing at every step. I'm confident I will be able to get back to my regular life even as I wait to see the specialist. And that is due to Jim's excellent care.

5.0 star star star star starHe was kind, helpful, understanding and thorough. He listened to my complains and apologized for the wait. He checked up on me while I waited for an X-ray, got my notes ready before I left and called me almost immediately with results.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
