5.0 star star star star starVery personable and easily connected to her as a patient. She gave excellent information and answered questions. I felt like she took her time and I didn’t feel rushed. The nurse, Sabrina, was equally as personable and helpful.

5.0 star star star star starDr Carlsson is very thorough with her examinations. She takes the extra time to listen to you and answer any questions. I was recently diagnosed with Uterine cancer and still pretty upset and emotional at times trying to cope with everything. She took the extra time to listen to what has transpired over the past 6 weeks with me and answered some of my many questions about what to expect with my pending radiation treatments.

5.0 star star star star starDr Carlson Thorne is absolutely amazing. She is an absolute pleasure to interact with. She was able to help me with something I had no idea she would be able to help with. It just came up in conversation. I was feeling relief immediately upon taking her advice. Her assistant was an absolute pleasure also. Very kind and caring team.

5.0 star star star star starToday I had a cosmetic procedure. It involved me applying a topical anesthetic prior to the appointment and then the procedure involved some burning of the skin. I may not have applied enough of the anesthetic everywhere. She took her time and always was checking in with me on my pain tolerance. It was almost as if she had the same compassion as my mom, but with the medical training. I’m so grateful for Dr. Carlson-Thorn.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
