5.0 star star star star starMy Cardiologist is a great guy and the Bluhm institute is amazing but I have been around Linda since the Heart Failure Clinic started. I do not know where the idea for the patient care routine came from but it works.I come in and they pull my blood for the labs, hook up my EKG and than Linda comes in and tells me how to stay alive. We adjust meds based on the totality of tests and symptoms and I schedule the next appointment. You cannot get a better group of caring efficient staff and I think Northwestern needs to keep Linda around forever. I love the way she communicates so closely with the rest of my care team and her and my Cardiologist always work together so my heart function is optimized. I guess you can tell I think the world of Linda and the clinic she has built.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
