5.0 star star star star starMs. Smalley was efficient and professional. She quickly removed the tick and fully explained the potential for Lyme disease and the need for antibiotic treatment. She phoned me a day or two later with the results of the lab tests and told me what symptoms to watch for. Throughout the treatment she was friendly, thorough and caring.

5.0 star star star star starPA-C Smalley did a great job listening and explaining options. She was kind and easy to talk to. I feel like she did everything she could do to help me, which makes life better for me during a time when I’m not feeling well.

5.0 star star star star starI have had other virtual appointments elsewhere that have often felt rushed, and too easy/quick to prescribe without much conversation. This appointment was exactly the opposite, even if short because it didn't feel that way at all. The Dr listened to my concerns & explanation of what was going on, she asked follow up questions before explaining what she was prescribing me & why, and why she wants an xray. We ended with what i should avoid or continue to do in the meantime. The Dr was very pleasant to speak with and even answered some questions only semi-related to my reason for visit. The appointment felt informative and productive.

5.0 star star star star starI can’t express enough how wonderful from start to finish my visit today was!!! The receptionist that checked me in was very friendly, professional, and sweet, and willing to chitchat more or less about what was going on. The nurse that took me back was phenomenal, and as an RN myself, she was very professional, informative, asked many many questions that covered all of my concerns, and then some, and went above and beyond, and finally, when I saw the physician assistant, I couldn’t say more positive things about her! Again she was beyond professional, very easy to talk to, explain everything she was doing, and why, and again explained why she was prescribing what she was prescribing me, and above all was friendly and easy to relate to. And I think those are some of the best qualities , that healthcare workers can have especially when you’re dealing with patients in an urgent care situation and they’re not feeling well and just want to feel better. I have been a patient of Northwestern for about six or seven years now and I recommend them to everyone and I don’t ever plan on leaving as a patient. Thank you to everyone today that helps this visit, be so successful and a positive visit! Thank you thank you thank you!!!

5.0 star star star star starShe is amazing with kids. My son loved her and normally he does the opposite of what the doctor asks. She got down on his level and talked to him until he was comfortable with her checking him over. I hope to have her every time I stop in! Highly recommend!!

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
