5.0 star star star star starDr. Marc Slutzy is a great doctor he knows how to make me feel comfortable before, during, and after my visit with him I have a fear of doctors, but with him I don't. He also explains everything I need to know so that I can understand.

5.0 star star star star starI've been trying to get this pain under control for years and I finally feel seen. Dr. Slutzky took the time to figure out what might possibly help me manage my pain rather than recommending ibuprofen.

5.0 star star star star starIt is 20 minutes after my phone appointment, I have called both 2 minutes before and 15 minutes after appt. Time and no one has called me back about continuing appointment. If it is cancelled because they don't respond to this predicament, I will be upset.

4.0 star star star star star_borderHe is very good in his field and answered all of my questions. He took his time with me. The only reason I did not give him a higher score is because this is my first appointment with him and I don't know him well.

4.0 star star star star star_borderOverall, the experience was nice. The bedside manner could be better. It would've been nice to receive more empathy, compassion & engagement from the nurse who took vitals & the resident when learning about what brought me in. However, I appreciate the thoroughness from the resident & Dr. Slutzky in regards to purpose of the visit. They were direct & I like the precautions taken.

5.0 star star star star starHe was very informative and explanatory about the medication he was prescribing in what a migraine is and how migraine works and why. He explained how the medication he was going to prescribe for me would work and how it works and what it does and if not then we would see what medication we can try next.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
