I had a good visit with Dr. Murphy that morning. He had read my hearing tests results and factored them in to his speaking right away. He also gave me a copy of the audiologist's report at the end of our meeting. I had said I was worried about downloading mine at home. ie. if I didn't print out a copy of it promptly, that I might lose access forever. The doctor spoke in a clear voice. He emphasized the importance of "hearing what people are saying" and that the hearing aid could be adjusted( through coordination with a smart phone app) so that if I was hearing and people were talking softer, I could increase the volume by using my smartphone. He was quite intelligent and very well focused. He helped me with some of my fears about owning a hearing aid. He let me know that when I was with my provider, if I needed any confirmation(?) that I would be able to call him at the office.
